The grow room is more often than not setup in an area of unused space.

This may be a cupboard/wardrobe, an attic space, a basement area the garage or even under the stairs.

The shape and size of the space available will therefore dictate the overall size and shape of the growing area.

Whether you are constructing a new growing space, or modifying an existing one you need to take into consideration six primal factors:

 

 1 Ventilation.        The warm stale air will need to be extracted to the outside, another room or the attic and clean fresh air brought in.

 2 Access.             The main requirement here is that there is easy access to the grow room.

 3 Temperature.     The daytime and night time temperatures within your growing area are imperitive.The temperature should,be kept even no hot spots no cold spots.

 4 Electricity.         The supply of electricity to your grow room should be carried out by a qualified electrician.(an extra ring main).

 5 Water.              The supply of fresh clean water to your grow room is of vital importance. As is the means of removing that water once it is no longer required.

 6 Ease of use.       The ease of use of the room, remember that hydroponics systems can be big and bulky you need space to move in there and do your thing.
